Aggregate dependent electrochromic properties of amino acid appended naphthalene diimides in water

چکیده

Naphthalene diimides have electrochromic applications due to their highly stable dark reduced state along with a transparent colourless neutral state. Here we show the morphology of aggregated structures at different pHs has greater influence on chromic properties than chemical structure.

Temperature-dependent structural evolution and electrochromic properties of peroxopolytungstic acid

Temperature-dependent in situ W L3-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy has been performed at 20–500 ‡C to investigate the geometric environment and electronic structure of tungsten upon the transformation of electrochromic peroxopolytungstic acid to tungsten trioxide. The temperature-dependent variation of the coordination number and bond distance of the nearest (W–O) sphere reveals that the per...

A phosphonic acid appended naphthalene diimide motif for self-assembly into tunable nanostructures through molecular recognition with arginine in water.

A naphthalene diimide motif bearing phosphonic acid functionalities has been found to be self-assembled with L- and D-arginine through chirality induced molecular recognitions and leads to the formation of micrometre long nanobelts and spherical aggregates at pH 9 in water, respectively.

Investigation of Volumetric and Acoustic Properties of Ionic Liquid + Amino Acid + Water Systems at Different Temperatures

This paper reports density and speed of sound data for solutions of the ionic liquids (ILs) [C4mim]Cl and [C4mim][CF3SO3] in aqueous solution of 0.05 w/w amino acids of alanine, serine and proline at T = (288.15, 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15) K. From the experimental data measured, the apparent molar volume (Vϕ), isentropic compressibility ( ), and apparent molar isentropic compression ( ) have be...

Charge-transfer complexation between naphthalene diimides and aromatic solvents.

Naphthalene diimides (NDIs) form emissive ground-state charge-transfer (CT) complexes with various electron rich aromatic solvents like benzene, o-xylene and mesitylene. TD-DFT calculation of the complexes suggests CT interaction and accounts for the observed ground-state changes.

Water soluble extended naphthalene diimides as pH fluorescent sensors and G-quadruplex ligands.

Extended naphthalene diimides (NDIs) fused to 1,4-dihydropyrazine-2,3-dione, containing two solubilizing moieties, have been synthesized. Fluorescence spectra of the new NDIs were remarkably affected by pH, as the second deprotonation of the dihydropyrazinedione moiety (pK(a) 6.9) switched off the emission. Binding to a G-quadruplex folded oligonucleotide and stoichiometry were evaluated by FRE...
